Community and BeyondNew Life will be adopting six families identified through the Warrior Giving Project in order to help provide Christmas blessings to our neighbors. We won’t have gift tags on a tree for you to take this year but have three options for you to participate.
1. Donate gift(s) from this list. (click here) You can sign up there rather than taking a tag as in years past. Please bring your unwrapped gifts to the church no later than December 2. (If you shop online, you may have them delivered directly to the church if you choose - please make sure the ‘gift message’ includes the item ID Code so we can check it in.) 2. Donate to the common needs for many families - no signup is needed: (*see list below). Items, gift cards or checks can be dropped off at the church. We will keep track of what is needed and let you know when we have enough. 3. Make a financial donation to be used where needed to assist this project use this link. (We’ll do the shopping for you!) *General items needed:
Thanks for helping to make this Christmas a lot brighter for these families! Each week more than 65 families on average have been receiving food, resources, and assistance through the food pantry. As schedules have changed (many of our youth who volunteered over the summer went back to school), we're looking for some folks who might help with the food distribution on Wednesdays. Stop by and give a few hours of your time from 3:30-6:30 pm or email Jim Lund to set up a time. Your financial support sustains this vibrant ministry!
As the holidays approaching, we are looking forward to celebrating with family and friends. For many years, Norwalk students, families, churches and businesses have had the opportunity to help those that may be experiencing difficult times through our annual holiday service project, The Warrior Giving Project (formerly known as Project Santa) We are pleased to again partner with the Norwalk Community School District in coordinating this project. The goal of The Warrior Giving Project to help Norwalk families meet some basic needs. It is also out hope that we can help relieve a bit of the worry and stress that many families experience during difficult financial times by helping provide necessity and gift items for each of the children. If you would like to contribute to the community project click here.
The Warrior Giving Project is a ministry of the Norwalk Area Ministerial Association. |

New Sermon Series: We'll Get Through This
October 25 - November 22 You fear you won't make it through. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. In the pits, surrounded by deep walls and aching reminders, we wonder: Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten?
God doesn't promise that getting through trials will be quick or painless. It wasn't for Joseph - tossed into a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, forgotten and dismissed. But this Old Testament story teaches us to trust God to trump evil. November 22, 2020 God Can Use This For Good Sunday Morning Worship will be live streamed at 8:15 & 10:30 on Facebook and Youtube Youth Activities
